Jarrell M. Taver Hudson is charged with a single offense against the child, who Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said was between 13 and 14 at the time.
Detectives arrested Hudson on Wednesday following an investigation that began with a tip two months ago from the state Division of Child Protection & Permanency, the prosecutor said on Thursday, Sept. 27.
Hudson -- who lives on River Drive near the Wall Street Bridge -- remained held in the Bergen County Jail pending a first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack.
He's charged with aggravated sexual assault and child endangerment.
